Samsung To Launch a GALAXY Device On Jan 22, Rumoured To Be Galaxy Grand

Press invite says ''Newest Galaxy'', Samsung has not confirmed / declined on the specific model that is slated for launch.

 

Samsung Galaxy Grand which was recently announced, may make it to India on 22nd January. Samsung did send out a media invite to an event scheduled to be held on the 22nd January, with the invite saying ''Newest Galaxy''.

The ''newest Galaxy'' technically is the S2 Plus which was launched less than two weeks ago. And then there is the S3 mini, which has not yet officially made it to India. So, either one of these devices could be the one that''ll be launched, but tech media is rife with rumours that the device is the Grand. From what we could tell, none of these rumour reports cited any source. It could just be one writer''s imagination, being then copied by a dozen websites, or, there could be truth to it too. For now, there''s no way of telling.

As for the Grand, for detailed spec list you may click here; the more important features are: a 5" 480x800 pixels display, Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) OS with Samsung''s TouchWiz interface, dual-SIM, 1.2 GHz CPU and 1 GB RAM, and 8 GB of internal storage expandable to 64 GB.

Pricing will determine if budget phablets have to run for cover, or this ends up becoming a ''cheap Note''. For what it''s worth, the Grand includes the S-voice feature to give it a premium touch.
