Samsung's GALAXY Series Reaches The 10 Million Sales Mark In India
Milestone comes after two and half years of first launch.
Korean mobile phone giant Samsung today announced that it has reached the sales mark of 10 million units of its GALAXY series of smartphones in India. The company first introduced the GALAXY range in India in June 2010 with its GALAXY S smartphone. One GALAXY model followed another, and there are a total of 13 devices in the Indian market. Prices range from Rs 6800 to Rs 40,000.
Samsung did not comment on individual sales figures of its GALAXY devices, but did say that the GALAXY Y series, Note series, and S III together make up 50% of all sales in India.
