Samsung Galaxy Music Duos Available Online For Rs 9200
Dual-SIM handset sports a 3" screen, 3 mp camera, and frontal stereo speakers with SRS audio enhancement.
Samsung's ever-expanding GALAXY series has a new entrant, the GALAXY Music Duos. It is a budget-segment handset. What justifies the use of the word "Music" in the name are the frontal stereo speakers and SRS audio enhancement. Samsung hasn't revealed anything about the chipset, except that the phone runs on a "powerful processor." The display is a modest 3" capacitive touch screen with pixel dimensions of 240x320. Apart from that, you get a 3 mp camera. On the software front, it features Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) out of the box. Here's the list of specs confirmed by the manufacturer:
- 3.0” QVGA (240x320) TFT screen.
- 3 MP fixed-focus camera, No flash.
- 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, microSD slot (upto 32 GB).
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, USB 2.0.
- Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
- FM radio (built-in antenna and RDS support), 3.5 mm jack.
- Android 4.0 (ICS).
- Music player with SoundAlive and SRS enhancements.
- Accelerometer, Digital compass, Proximity sensor.
- 4.3" (l) x 2.3" (w) x 0.5" (12 mm) (d), 107 grams.
- 1300 mAh Li-ion battery.
The handset was announced back in October, and Samsung had mentioned an inbuilt WVGA projector (9 Lumen @ 1 Watt) in its spec sheet. Strangely, there's now no mention of that feature.
The Galaxy Music Duos is available through Samsung's official eStore for Rs 9200. If you're planning on purchasing a sub-10k smartphone with dual-SIM functionality, you should also consider the Xperia tipo dual.
