G'Five Launches Three New Movie King Handsets
The company expands its Movie King portfolio with the launch of the E720, E780, and E505.
The low end cellphone market in India is still growing. Cellphone manufacturers are making it big in the country with their mid-range feature-rich handsets. These manufacturers know exactly what the customers want and as a result come up with interesting handsets. Chinese manufacturer G'Five is a well-known brand in the Indian market, and now the company has expanded its portfolio with the introduction of three new handsets under the Movie King range that offer great movies pre-loaded into the handset. Users get to choose between a South Movie Package featuring hits from South India, and a Rest of India Movie Package, which features hits from the East, West and North.
The three new handsets launched are E720, E780, and E505. The E720 is a normal looking dual-SIM handset with a 2.4" display, a 3.2 MP back camera with flash, and a VGA front facing camera. The phone has a built in G-sensor, wireless FM radio and a torch. The G'Five E720 phone will cost Rs 2910 in the market.
The E505 is another basic dual-SIM feature phone with a 2.2" display, FM radio, A2DP, 1.3 MP back camera as well as a front facing camera, and a 1000 mAh battery. The phone will come bundled with two extra back panels for customization. Additionally, along with the movies, the phone will also feature a couple of games. The E505 is priced at Rs 2220.
The E780 comes with a 3.2" touch screen display with 16:9 aspect ratio and a 3.2 MP rear camera with flash coupled by a front facing camera. The phone has a 1050 mAh battery and will also work as a USB modem. The E780 will be the priciest of the three handsets costing Rs 3700.
All the three handsets will come bundled with a 4 GB microSD card preloaded with movies and games. The memory can be expanded up to 16 GB. The company also mentions that there will be a shortcut key on the phone to give quick access to Movie King content. This seems like a fairly reasonable deal for the price, and we are sure the market for handsets like these still exist. That being said, the likes of Micromax, Videocon, Spice and Lava have made things harder with the launch of low cost Android handsets.
