Android 4.0 ZenFocus myZenTAB 773B With 7" Screen Launched For Rs 10,000
ICS-based tablet supports 3G SIM and sports a 0.3 mp front camera, 8 GB internal storage, and 1.2 GHz CPU.
ZenFocus has launched the new myZenTAB 773B tablet based on Android 4.0 (ICS). Powered by a 1.2 GHz CPU and Mali-400 GPU, it comes with a surprisingly low 512 MB RAM, which is barely enough to run the OS smoothly. Its 7" 5-point capacitive multi-touch screen has pixel dimensions of 800x400. The 8 GB of internal storage is augmented by a microSD slot (upto 32GB). The slate supports 3G and 2G SIMs for data connectivity and phone calling while on the move, in addition to Wi-Fi. A 0.3 mp front camera facilitates video chat and video calling. Here is the specification sheet of the device:
- Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), Google Play and Adobe Flash 11.1 support.
- Games included: Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Plants VS Zombies.
- 7" 5-point capacitive multi-touch screen with pixel dimensions of 800x400.
- Boxchip A8 1.2 GHz CPU, Mali-400 350 MHz GPU, 512 MB DDR3 RAM.
- 8 GB internal storage; 32 GB microSD slot.
- 0.3 megapixel front camera.
- 3G\2G SIM for GSM\WCDMA, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, HDMI-Out (1080p).
- Video Formats: H.264, H. 263, VC- 1, MPEG- 1,2,4 DIVX- 3,4,5,6, XVID, H263, WMV7\ 8, VP6, AVS.
- Audio Formats: MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, APE, AAC, AC3, DTS.
- 3200 mAh Li-polymer battery with 4 hours of Wi-Fi browsing and 5 hours of video playback.
- 7.6" (l) x 4.8" (w) x 0.45" (11.5 mm) (d).
USB OTG allows the user to connect peripheral devices such as a keyboard, mouse, USB storage, or even 3G dongles. Online streaming videos can easily viewed, thanks to support for Adobe Flash 11.1. HDMI-Out option lets you take the action to a larger, high definition screen.
Available in black plastic casing, the myZenTAB 773B is priced at Rs 10,000, which is the going rate for a tab with similar specifications. However, it would have made better sense if ZenFocus would have added something extra such as an IPS panel, better pixel dimensions, or even a rear camera to differentiate its product from the competition such as the recently launched Wishtel IRA ICON.
