Android 4.0 Adcom @PAD 721C With 7" Screen And 3G Calling Available On Snapdeal.com For Rs 10,000
ICS tablet features a 3.2 mp camera, 1.5 GHz CPU, 3G SIM slot, and HDMI-Out.

After Intex and Mercury, another PC peripheral company, Adcom (Advantage Computers) is exploring the budget tablet segment. Its latest product, the @PAD721C, is targetted towards folks who are ready to replace their cellphones with a tablet. The operating system onboard is Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Similar to most budget 7" tablets, this one too is powered by a 1.5 GHz CPU, and has 1 GB of RAM. Here's the detailed list of features provided by the manufacturer:
- 7" capacitive five-point multi-touch screen with 800x480 pixels.
- Allwinner A10 chipset with 1.5 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU, 1GB DDR3 RAM.
- Full phone functionality, 3G SIM slot.
- 3.2 mp rear camera, 1.3 mp front camera.
- 4 GB internal storage, 32 GB microSD card slot.
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.
- 3.5 mm jack, Mini-USB port (supports external 3G dongles), HDMI-Out.
- Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
- Supported Audio: MP3,WMA,WAV, APE, FLAC, AAC, OGG.
- Supported Video: H.264, H.263, DivX, XviD, MPG, AVI, WMV, MP4, MKV, RM, RMVB, FLV, MOV, 3GP (up to 1080p).
- Orientation sensor, DC 5 Volt \ 2 Amp charging jack.
- 3500 mAh Li-Polymer battery.
It is interesting to note charging specifications as 5V / 2A which is within the limits of USB 3.0 power specs. Theoretically, it should have been possible to charge the tablet via USB 3.0 ports and not carry a charger. However, the product specification mentions a charging port - you will have to look for a converter to use the juice a USB 3.0 port provides, if your PC has one. Due to a similar set of features, the Adcom @PAD 721C will compete with the likes of Zync's 999 Plus and the WickedLeak Wammy Ethos. Currently, the slate is only available on Snapdeal.com, and can be bought for Rs 10,000 by clicking this link.
