Android 4.0 Penta T-Pad IS709C With 7" Screen Available On Snapdeal.com For Rs 4000

Is probably the cheapest ICS tablet to have a capacitive multi-touch screen and 1 GHz CPU.

The market is full of budget tablets costing as little as Rs 4000. However, most of these slates come with a resistive screen, and we already know what a terrible user experience they offer. An exception seems to be the Penta T-Pad IS709C though, which is among the cheapest tablets to come with a multi-touch capacitive screen. Like most budget devices, it doesn't seem to have an official product page. However, according to Snapdeal.com's listing, the slate features Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) out of the box. Despite being dirt-cheap, it's powered by a 1 GHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM. Here is the detailed list of features:

  • 7" capacitive multi-touch screen with 800x480 pixels and 16 million colours.
  • 1 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU, Mali-400 Vivante GC800 GPU, 512 MB DDR3 RAM.
  • Android 4.0.3 4.0.4 (ICS).
  • 4 GB of internal ROM (user-accessible storage not specified), 32 GB microSD card slot.
  • 0.3 mp front camera.
  • Mini-USB port with support for external 2G and 3G dongles (GSM + CDMA), 3.5 mm jack, Wi-Fi.
  • Supported Video: AVI, H.264, DivX, XviD, RM, RMVB, MKV, WMV, MOV, MP4, DAT, VOB, MPG, FLV, ASF, 3GP.
  • Supported Audio: MP3, WMA, MP2, OGG, AAC, M4A, FLAC, APE, 3GP, WAV.
  • 3000 mAh battery, Orientation sensor.
  • Package Contents: USB cable, Charger, User manual.

Currently, the T-Pad IS709C is only available on Snapdeal.com for Rs 4000, and comes with a one-year warranty.

I'm not able to understand your question. I THINK you're asking if the tablet has a SIM slot or not. If that is so, the answer is: No, the tablet does not come with a SIM slot. However, it does support external USB 3G internet dongles.

Ideally, it should work with Micromax's dongle. However, since I haven't tested it, I cannot confirm the same.

Since I haven't used this device, I can't confirm the other features. As has already been mentioned in previous comments, this tablet DOES NOT have a SIM slot. Therefore, you will not be able to use your SIM card with this tablet. Please read the earlier comments before you post, as there's a good chance your question has already been answered.

Buy tablets from some Chinese vendors like - Ainol, Onda, PiPo, Cube, etc. They have huge community support on several forums. These are available on ebay. Ainol has an indian reseller too, so, no customs, shopping from China, etc.

Since the tablet is powerful enough to play Temple Run well, and the touch experience is smooth, it should be able to handle a fair bit of mulititasking.

It's mostly something to do with your internet connection not working properly. Check to see if other web apps work fine. Also, whenever you post a query, it's always helpful to state the EXACT error message, rather than a vague description. Goes a long way in helping us solve your problem.

While the tablet does not directly support the Huawei 303, using the PPP Widget app, you can use almost any USB dongle.
