Taking a look at the specs: 1. Android 4.0.3 (ICS) with support for Google Play. => Please wake up. Ainol Novo 7 Crystal is avaialble with Jelly Bean for Rs.7990 (http://www.ainolindia.com/ainol-crystal-jelly-bean-ips-8g.html) and has far better specs compared to this tablet. 2. 7" 5-point capacitive multi-touch TFT LCD panel with pixel dimensions of 800x480. => Wammy-7 (http://www.wickedleak.org/tablets-and-e-readers/96-wammy-7-inch-capacitive-android-40.html) has same screen resolution and costs Rs.2000 (taxes, shipping included) less that this tablet. I am not sure why they have priced it at Rs.8000! Alternatively, one could consider Ainol Tornado for Rs.5000 only with same resolution (http://www.ainolindia.com/ainol-novo-7-tornado.html) => More importantly 800x480 is hardly sufficent for reading or browsing the Internet for long hours. At least 1024x600 is needed to have a pleasant reading experience. If one intends to play games along, this might be sufficent, but, why spend Rs.8000 for this tablet when much cheaper options are available. 3. 1.5 GHz Cortex A8 CPU, Dual-core Mali-400 GPU, 512 MB DDR3 RAM. => This is probably Allwinner A10 processor. In practice, the processor will be stable at 1GHz only and not the mentioned 1.5GHz. 512MB RAM is very low, as nearly 30% will be not accesible to the user. There are several other tablets that give 1GB RAM for Rs.8000. 4. 8 GB internal storage, 32 GB microSD card slot. => This is a decent memory and should be good for carrying a few movies around 5. Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 with support for 3G dongles, USB 2.0 OTG, Bluetooth not supported. => Pretty standard. But for Rs.8000 and poor features, one should at least expect Bluetooth to work 6. 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera. Again, Wammy 7 at Rs.6K has same camera. And Ainol Aurora-2 for same price (Rs.8000) has a 2mp camera+1GB RAM+Dual core. 7. HDMI-Out supporting 2160p HD output, 3.5 mm stereo jack, G-Sensor. Supported video formats: AVI, RM, RMVB, PMP, FLV, Mp4, M4V, VOB, WMV, 3GP, MKV, MOV, MPEG, MPG. Supported audio formats: MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, WAV, AAC, M4A, MP2, MA4. => 2160p HD output is something new here compared to other tablets. However, this is not justification to have Rs.3000 more than a similar tablet!!! 8. 3000 mAh Li-ion battery supporting 8 hours music or 4 hours browsing. 7.6" (l) x 4.7" (w) x 0.4" (9.9 mm) (d), 365 grammes. Package contents: Power adapter, earphones, USB cable, OTG cable, user guide, warranty card. => The battery is very poor. One need more battery as this a portable device and will be carried around a lot. The low battery means frequent searches for charging points. If happy with the specifications mentioned here, consider buying a Wammy-7 or an Ainol Tornado or Ainol Mars. If you want better experience, and ready to spend up to Rs.8000, consider buying Ainol Elf-2 or Aurora-2 (dual core + 1GB RAM + huge community support).
