Claims it to be the slimmest and lightest tablet in its category; features dual-cameras, 3G dongle support, 3D Full HD (1080p) output, and 8000 mAh battery.
Winknet has launched the Ultimate TWY300 tablet, which the press release claims is the "thinnest and lightest". It has a 9.7" screen weighing 643 grammes, and is only 9.8 mm thick. We're assuming that the company is talking about Android devices, because the new iPad is thinner at 9.4 mm, and only slightly heavier at 652 grammes. The slate runs Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and is powered by a 1.5 GHz CPU with 1 GB of RAM. It features a 10-point capacitive multi-touch IPS panel with pixel dimensions of 1024x768. Internal storage is 16 GB, expandable by a further 32 GB using a microSD card. Wi-Fi connectivity is present, in addition to support for 3G dongles via USB. An HDMI-Out port allows you to use the device's Full HD (1080p) video playback on a big screen. An 8000 mAh battery is provided for a claimed 10 hours of music playback or 6 hours of browsing. USB OTG support means you can connect USB accessories such as a keyboard, mouse, and mass storage devices, just like you would with a PC. Adobe Flash support enables you to play most streaming online video content. The tab comes bundled with the Hungama app, and also a free Hindi movie, 10 HD music videos, and 20 audio songs. The Winknet Ultimate TWY300 is available for Rs 15,000, which is Rs 5,000 more than the Micromax Funbook Pro and Wishtel Ira Comet, both of which sport larger 10.1" screens.
