New All-In-One PCs From HP With Advanced Touch Technology

10-point touchscreen to take full advantage of Windows 8.

 

After unveiling Windows 8-based hybrid and ultrabooks last week, HP now brings three new products to their range of Desktops and All-in-one PCs. HP has remained stingy about the details (like last time), but we have a sneak peek in this press release.

HP ENVY 23 and HP ENVY 20 TouchSmart PC
The ENVY 23 and ENVY 20 TouchSmart PC have 23 and 20-inch HD displays respectively, with 10 point touch capability. Both run Windows 8 on Intel processors (exact model unknown). Other features include:

  • Optional ExpressCache and Solid State Drive (SSD).
  • Storage space goes up to 3 TB.
  • Beats audio integration.
  • HP TrueVision HD webcam, HP Connected Photo, HP Connected Backup, HP Connected Backup.
  • HP Connected Remote (for HP ENVY 20 TouchSmart) which turns a smartphone or a tablet into a remote control . 

The ENVY 23 TouchSmart and ENVY 20 TouchSmart AiO PCs are expected to be available in the US in October starting at $1,000 (Rs 55K) and $800 (Rs 44K) respectively.

HP SpectreONE AiO PC
At only 0.45", this All-in-One PC is perhaps the thinnest among all AiOs. It has a 23.6" flush-glass Full HD display to run Windows 8. Its one-of-a-kind wireless trackpad offers users scroll, swipe and tap capabilities. The specs are as below:

  • Intel processor along with 1 GB NVIDIA graphics card.
  • Optional ExpressCache and Solid State Drive (SSD).
  • HP TouchZone NFC technology.
  • Two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI-in, Beats Audio headphone jack.
  • Includes full versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, Premiere Elements 10, and a two-year subscription to Norton Internet Security.

The HP SpectreONE is expected to be available in the US in November with a starting price of $1,300 (Rs 72K).

Along with these three, HP has launched — keeping budget users in mind — a non-touch AiO PC, the HP Pavilion 20. This one has a 20-inch HD display. It is expected to be available in the US in October with a starting price of $450 (Rs 24,500).
