The best part of the specs are: 1. 1024x600 resolution 2. 1GB RAM 3. Bluetooth Non-attractive factors: 1. Price (Rs.15000 is very high, possbily Rs.12000 would have been good) 2. NO google play is a terrible factor. What is a tablet without access to the largest source of apps for the Android device??? 3. Non-IPS screen - possible, the quality may be poor Other factors: 1. Look and feel: I happened to see the ME Tablet U1 tablet in Reliance Digital store. The make quality was pathetic compared to much cheaper Chinese tablets like Ainol Tornado (costing Rs.6000) or Ainol Elf 2 (costing Rs.9000). Not sure if the build quality of this new tablet from HCL is any better. 2. Network options: When it comes to the price, I feel Rs.15000 is on the higher side. One can have the Bluetooth functionality by adding mini-Bluetooth dongle to the Elf-2 and it costs just Rs.200 extra. One can access data by using WiFi or a 3G dongle, and still this would cost much less that the HCL tablet priced at Rs.15000. Of course, having the 3G sim slot makes life easy when you want to access data. 3. Single core: In addition, the HCL tablet does not have dual core compared to the Elf-2 mentioned above, and hence, MAY be sluggish when it comes to demanding games. Looks like this is a good tablet, but, I personally feel a price of Rs.12000 would have made this tablet a hot cake. Instead of spending Rs.15000 for this tablet, one could consider getting a Blackberry playbook (no 3G) or Samsung tablet or other chinese tablets.
