Spice Launches 3.5" Dual-SIM Android 2.3 Stellar Craze Mi-355 For Rs 6600
Claiming to support ICS as well, the GSM phone packs in one 3G and one 2G SIM slot, along with a 5 mp dual-LED flash camera.
Spice Mobile has announced a Dual-SIM Android smartphone under its Stellar series, called the Stellar Craze Mi-355. Running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) that can be upgraded later to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), the phone sports a 3.5" capacitive touchscreen with pixel dimensions of 320x480. The 3G-enabled handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 800 MHz CPU and 200 MHz GPU, with 512 MB of RAM. Other features are as follows:
- Dual-SIM, dual-standby with 3G UMTS 2100 MHz in SIM 1 and 2G dual-band (GSM 900 \1800 MHz) in SIM 2.
- 140 MB of available storage, external 32 GB microSD slot.
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS with A-GPS, and USB connectivity.
- 3.5 mm audio jack, FM radio.
- Supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, and WAV audio files, along with MP4 videos.
- 0.3 mp front camera and 5 mp main camera with dual-LED flash.
- Bundled with NetQin Antivirus and Whatsapp.
- Proximity sensor and accelerometer.
- 4.6" x 2.4" x 0.4" (11.5 mm).
The company claims that the phone's 1420 mAh battery offers four hours of talk time on 2G. Priced at Rs 6,600, the handset is available in white on Saholic.com. Moreover, the website has offered a talk time recharge worth Rs 300 for free on purchase of this smartphone. Although Spice also states that another phone in the series named the Stellar Horizon will be launched next, no fixed date has been provided.
