Android games are coming to Windows in 2022

Say goodbye emulators that compromise your digital security, because now you can play Android games directly on your Windows PC, laptop or tablet.

In 2022 Google will allow players to download Android games onto their Windows devices and play them on there. Devices include PCs, tablets, and laptops. 

This announcement came by surprise at The Game Awards 2021 by Google Play Games Product Director Greg Hartnell.

The move is designed to spread the joy of thousands of Android games to more than just Android devices.

Google Play Games will be available on Windows as an app.

Previously, Microsoft has only collaborated with Amazon to make the Amazon App store available on Windows 11. But the Amazon App store has far fewer games than Google Play Games

Greg Hartnell also said that “This will be a native Windows app distributed by Google, which will support Windows 10 and up. It will not involve game streaming.”
