Genius Launches Imperator Pro Gaming Keyboard For Rs 5500

If you're in the market for a gaming keyboard, there's a new kid on the block in the form of Genius Imperator Pro. The new Pro edition is a backlit version of the plain vanilla Imperator, featuring three-level brightness adjustment. The backlight can be customised from a 16 million colour palette as well. Targeted at RPG and RTS gamers, the keyboard includes six macro keys that can be assigned with up to 18 macros. Genius provides a wrist pad for added comfort. The Imperator Pro packs onboard memory for macro and setting portability across multiple computers at LAN parties. Additionally, you get six media control keys for quick access to audio and video playback controls.

The keyboard's USB interface is clocked at a polling rate of 1000 Hz, to give a quick 1 ms response time. Other features include a 1.8 metre cable and two onboard USB ports to connect other peripherals. The membrane key-based Genius Imperator Pro is priced at Rs 5450. This puts it in the league of mechanical keyboards such as the Razer Blackwidow, which supposedly features better tactile feedback.
