Zync Z-990 plus Android 4.0 Tablet Launched For Rs 6500
The 7" slate with a capacitive touchscreen comes with a front camera for video chat and can play 1080p videos.
Zync has added a new and inexpensive Android tablet to its portfolio, the Z-990 plus. This is an upgraded, yet lower-priced version of the Z-990, which was launched in March this year. The company is touting it as an entertainment device, and it comes bundled with a 1-month free subscription for BIGFlix that is accessible via an app. The Z-990 plus runs Android 4.0 (ICS) and features a 7" capacitive multi-touch display, with pixel dimensions of 800x480. Powered by a 1.5 GHz CPU with 1 GB RAM, it features 4 GB internal memory and a microSD slot that can support up to 32 GB. Wi-Fi connectivity comes by default, while an external 3G dongle can also be used. A front VGA camera has been provided for video chat. It is capable of playing 1080p videos, which you can watch on a large display via the HDMI output.
Being an Android tablet, you can obviously install a multitude of free and paid apps from Google Play, for added value. The company has partnered with Ibibo to provide its consumers with an additional gaming experience across 40 categories. Additional features include USB-OTG, gyroscope, and mic \ earphone sockets. The specs mention a 3600 mAh Li-ion battery that should provide adequate backup. The Zync Z-990 is available for Rs 6500 and comes bundled with accessories, including a pouch and screen guard.
