Netflix Finally Wakes Up to Streaming Wars
The problem for Netflix is that arch rivals Amazon Prime scored a bulls-eye
A popular Bollywood actor, who played one of the protagonists in a hugely hyped web series recently dissed the second season, suggesting that the content wasn’t as gripping as the inaugural one. Nothing wrong in that, except the fact that it probably sent mandarins at Netflix into a tizzy, given that they’d spent big tie and money to create “Sacred Games”.
No, we aren’t going to discuss the appropriateness of Saif Ali Khan’s comment or what it could mean if the world’s top streaming service plans to revive a third season. The problem for Netflix is that arch rivals Amazon Prime scored a bulls-eye with their own “Made in India” story revolving around “The Family Man” who is racing against time to fight terror.
