Harman Kardon Launches Configurable Home Audio Systems

The Citation series combines superior sound performance and a swanky design with top notch control and streaming services

 

For those of us who believe owning Bose audio systems is a status symbol, the ‘Citation’ Series from Harman Kardon could be just the piece of gadgetry that you are looking for to bolster up that living room experience while watching movies or listening to your favorite tracks. The company launched the series in India on Wednesday at a starting price of Rs.22,999.

The range has garnered positive reviews since it hit the shelves across the continents over the last three months or so. Be it the Citation 500 or the Citation Bar, users have found the acoustic design and sound quality to be top notch with design features being as drool-worthy as they’ve been since the company joined hands with Apple nearly two decades ago. In fact, even Citation One and Citation Tower have garnered plaudits from the reviewer community.

The Citation series, which has standard features such as Google Assistant, a high-resolution LCD touch screen and Chromecast as a built-in feature, is priced at a top level of Rs.1.5 lakh and can be purchased from the Harman brand stores, the company said in a statement. While the Citation One is priced at Rs.22,999, Citation 100 costs Rs.28,999.

The Citation speaker line-up includes multiple countertop speaker options including Citation One, Citation 100, Citation 300 and Citation 500; a Citation Soundbar; Citation subwoofer, and Citation tower speakers. The speakers feature the brand’s signature industrial design, accented with thoughtful elements, including the elegant aluminum detailing. This timeless design marries Harman Kardon’s expertise in sound engineering and technology with a stylish and sleek design.

The Citation Series offers options to use the speakers individually or build a powerful 5.1-channel surround sound system. Powered by WiSA technology, the series delivers low latency, HD multi-channel and multi-room capabilities, which allows consumers to control amazing sound from any room, playing from one music source or playing different tracks in different rooms.

Along with the superior audio performance and extraordinary design, streaming music is now quick and efficient with the google Assistant built in the Citation series. Smart voice control also makes tackling tasks as simple as saying “Hey Google”. Additionally, Harman Kardon Citation speakers have Chromecast built-in, allowing over 300 audio and video streaming services to be easily accessed in HD quality.
