Nokia 808 PureView Now Officially Available For Online Pre-Booking

Price and launch date of the 41 mp camera phone yet to be announced; BuyThePrice.com pegs it at Rs 32,000 and 10th June.

 

After days of anticipation and a countdown website that basically led to nothing, Nokia has finally put up a website to let you pre-book the eagerly awaited 808 PureView smartphone. However, its pricing has not yet been released, so you'll have to wait for the official announcement, which may happen later today when the smartphone will be launched in India. Once you pre-book the phone, a reference number will be allotted to you and a company representative will contact you soon. Nokia is also offering a lens protector worth Rs 1000 at no extra cost with pre-orders.

The 808 PureView is a Symbian Belle device sporting a 41 mp camera with a 4" AMOLED ClearBlack screen. It has achieved instant fame for its extraordinarily large image sensor that claims to capture 1080p video and play it back with 4x lossless zoom using the PureView Pro image processor. The smartphone is also available for pre-order on BuyThePrice.com for Rs 32,000. Interestingly, the website states the shipping date as 10th June, possibly meaning that this will be the India launch date for the device.
