Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 5A In Two Variants
The Standard variant features a 5 MP front facing camera and High-end model comes with a 16 MP shooter in the front.
Xiaomi has finally launched Redmi Note 5A, the successor of Note 4A, in two variants — Standard Edition and High Edition, in its homeland China.
While the Standard Edition comes with a 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, and Snapdragon 425 processor, the High Edition features 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB ROM and 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB ROM. Yes. You read that right, the High Edition comes in two options. However, both these 3 GB and 4 GB RAM variants come with Snapdragon 435 processor.
As far as the pricing is considered, the 2 GB RAM variant comes at 699 Yuan, 3 GB RAM variant at 899, and 4 GB RAM variant at 1199 Yuan. This should reflect to around Rs 6,700, Rs 8,645, and Rs 11,530 in Indian currency.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A has been launched in three color options — Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Platinum Silver. It is also announced that the smartphone would be sold in China starting today via Mi.com and JD.com.
As far as other technical specifications are concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A comes with sleek metal unibody design and a 5.5 inch HD display with curved glass. It also features a 13 MP rear camera, 3,080 mAh battery, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
However, under the hood, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Standard Variant comes with 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, while the High Edition sports an octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz. The Standard variant features a 5 MP front facing camera while the High variant features a 16 MP front facing shooter. It is also worth noting that the High variant comes with a fingerprint scanner as well.
