Intex Unveils 4G VoLTE Feature Phone For Rs 1,999

The company has also unveiled eight other 2G models as part of its ‘Navratna’ series of feature phones.

 

Home grown handset manufacturer, Intex Technologies has showcased its first ever 4G VoLTE Feature Phone dubbed as the Intex Turbo+ 4G, which is claimed to be a part of the company’s special Feature Phones series — the Navratna.

According to a press release, the company boasts of its Navratna series as ‘high on quality and low on pricing’. The series comes with one 4G VoLTE device for Rs 1,999 and eight other 2G models with price ranging from Rs 700 to Rs 1,500.

Commenting on the launch of the Navratna series, Ishita Bansal, Product Head - Mobiles, Intex Technologies said, “Commemorating our 71st Independence Day, we wanted to upgrade feature phone users and give them the taste of a smartphone through our first Smart Feature Phone – the Turbo+ 4G. With this, feature phone users will get high voice call quality, a seamless experience of the internet and the power of connecting with the world via a mobile. Being a 20-year-old Indian company, Intex understands the needs and requirements of the consumers especially those residing in smaller towns and the hinterland. We have always strived to improve and empower lives of people through innovative consumer tech products and the Turbo 4G+ feature phone is the latest addition in our list of innovation.”

The Turbo+ 4G comes with a 2.4 inch QVGA Display, and is powered by a dual core processor with 512 MB ROM and 4 GB internal storage. It also sports a 2,000 mAh battery along with a 2 MP rear camera and a VGA selfie camera. The device runs on KaiOS operating system.
