Xiaomi Launches Mi 5X In China For CNY 1,499
It comes with a dual rear camera and a 5 MP selfie camera.
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has recently launched its new smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 5X which seems to be a mid range device having pretty decent set of technical specifications on board.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X comes with an octa core Snapdragon 625 processor paired with a 4 GB RAM. It also has a dual rear camera module and sports a unibody metal design with anti fingerprint coating. Somehow, it looks like the phone has picked up some cues from the iPhone 7 Plus.
Priced at CNY 1,499, the Xiaomi Mi 5X comes in Black, Pink, and Gold color variants. However, the phone doesn't seem to have any other variant in respect to different storage options. The smartphone is said to available for purchase in China starting from August 1.
Adding more on the device's camera functionality, it is worth noting that the Xiaomi Mi 5X's dual rear camera module is made up of a 12-megapixel wide-angle with 1.25-micron pixel sensor and f/2.2 aperture, and a 12-megapixel telephoto with 1-micron pixel sensor and f/2.6 aperture. It is worth noting that this camera module is similar to that of Xioami Mi 6. And, to make the best utilization of the dual rear camera, it supports Portrait mode. For selfies, the Xiaomi Mi 5X has a 5 MP sensor on the front panel.
On the connectivity end, the device supports 4G VoLTE, dual band WiFi 802.11 ac, GPS, USB Type C port, and 3.5 mm headphone jack. It also comes with high-quality audio output with DHS Audio Calibration Algorithm and a standalone audio amplifier. And lastly, the device packs in a 3,080 mAh battery.
