Google To Roll Out Google Play Protect
Safety being the key issue these days, this comprehensive set of security tools by Google may just be your rescuer.
Security is the most important factor when you are using anything — service or a product. And, keeping that in mind, Google has launched its very own set of comprehensive security services for Android operating system called as the Google Play Protect.
According to the company, the Google Play Protect provides powerful protections and greater visibility into your device security. It is also touted to be built into every device with Google Play, and according to Google’s official blog post, the service will always be updating, taking actions automatically to keep your data and device safe.
According to the blog post, All Google Play apps go through a rigorous security analysis even before they’re published on the Play Store—and Play Protect warns you about bad apps that are downloaded from other sources too. The company further mentions that Play Protect watches out for any app that might step out of line on your device, keeping you and every other Android user safe.
Additionally, Google Play Protect also comes with ‘Find My Device’ and this is claimed to be an answer for one of the biggest security risks every — losing your smartphone. With ‘Find My Device’ feature, you can locate, ring, lock, and erase your Android devices — phones, tablets, and even watches. The company mentions that this feature is built in and enabled on all devices.
While this definitely excites you about your phone’s safety, its s worth noting that, the new security tools are not yet available for public. It will, in-fact, be rolling out to all devices over the coming weeks, the company mentions in its official blog post.
