Google Launches Food Delivery And Home Services App In India

The app is silently launched, and is currently working only in Mumbai and Bangalore.

 

Google has silently released a new app in India called as Areo, which it claims to make ordering food and other home services easier and faster.

The app is currently useful online in cities of Bangalore and Mumbai, claims a recent post published on TheAndroidSoul.com, which was the publication to actually spot the app on Google Play Store. The post further mentions that if everything turns out positive, the search engine giant will be rolling out the app’s services to other cities in India, and then to other countries as well.

According to app’s description, Areo allows you to order food from your favourite restaurants, providers, and chefs, while you can also get other home services like painters, plumbers, electricians, etc, pretty easily.

It is worthing noting that, this move by Google is claimed to have been made possible by partnerships with companies like UrbanClap for home services and Freshmen, Box8, and Faasos for food ordering, claims a post published on The Economic Times.

Adding further, the post also mentions that Google has partnered with TimesofMoney’s DirecPay for online payments, instead of using its own payment solution. Strange!
