Xiaomi Launches Mi VR Play 2 Headset For CNY 99
The device may be a great option for people looking at cheap cardboard VR alternative headsets.
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has recently unveiled its new VR headset in China dubbed as the Mi VR play 2, which comes as a successor to the Mi VR Play headset that was launched in China last year. To recall, the original Mi VR Play was available in India for a price tag of Rs 999.
Now, a recent report published on Gadgets360 mentions that the new VR headset comes with a new softer fabric for extra comfort, while it would be available for CNY 99 in China. Well, this may translate to somewhere around Rs 900.
Also, the report adds that the new headset is much lighter than its predecessor, quoting MyDrivers. Additionally, the new VR headset comes with small holes across the device to enable better cooling while the headset is in use.
Having said this, we can clearly see that the new VR headset is pretty cheap for people who want to experience VR, but at the same do not like using cardboard VR headsets by Google and other companies. However, there seems to be announcement made yet, on the timeline of its availability in the international markets.
