Xiaomi MI 6 May Launch In April

The company’s CEO himself mentioned the launch timeframe, though no specific date was revealed.

 

The much awaited Xiaomi smartphone Mi 6 is finally coming out in April; well at least according to the company’s CEO Lei Jun. He confirmed during a live stream that the Xiaomi Mi 6 would be launched this month, though no specific date was revealed. However, according to previous reports, the launch may take place either on April 11 or April 18.

Additionally, a renowned leaker on Chinese social networking site Weibo had posted a set of alleged renders of Xiaomi Mi 6 just before the live stream started, reports Playfuldroid.com. The renders shared by the tipster clearly showcases the device in many angles.

By observing the recently leaked renders, we can clearly see that the smartphone would be coming with a dual camera lens on its rear panel, while users also get a dual LED Flash. It also looks like the smartphone would be having USB Type C port, while the front side below the display screen is a fingerprint scanner, embedded on the Home button.

Having said this, we can expected the smartphone to be available in two different variants - Mi 6 with a 30 MP primary camera and Mi 6 Pls with 5.7 inch screen.
