Samsung Galaxy S III Rolls Out With Music Hub Service

Said to take on rival iTunes; will offer streaming music for a fee.

Samsung beat arch-rival Apple by launching its flagship handset; the GALAXY S III ahead of the iPhone 5. Despite the "Pebble Blue" mess, the smartphone launched across Europe on Tuesday with much fanfare. However, the Korean electronics giant  has not just beat the iPhone-maker by bring out its flagship product first, but has also introduced a new Music Hub, to compete with iTunes. Just like the latter, it gives users access to radio, and a music store that offers well over 19 million songs, all for a price of course.

The smartphone maker calls it "the first completely integrated, all-in-one mobile music service", although I am not completely sure what that means; we can only figure it out when we get our hands on the gadget. Having said that, if the Music Hub is going to offer only music, then Apple has little to worry about for now. It will be interesting to see if the service integrates more features such as an app store and a movie library in the future. However, this is just the beginning; it will be interesting to see how the service grows with time.
