Samsung Showcases A QLED TV That Looks Like A Photo-Frame

The TV turns into a digital art-piece when switched off.

Samsung, the worldwide leader in screen technology, showcased a fancy TV. The premium television uses QLED technology fused with photo-frame like design. Dubbed as The Frame, and rightly so, the TV looks impressive even when it is turned off.

The Frame boasts of an ‘Art Mode’, which when turned on turns the TV into a picture frame. Instead of fading to black like a conventional TV, The Frame lets you select a digital art piece to show off in your living room. The Frame TV comes with over 100 art pieces in 10 different categories including landscape, architecture, wildlife, action, and drawing.

The Frame takes advantage of Samsung's no-gap wall-mount. Moreover, you don't even have to worry about unsightly cables as The Frame comes with a single, transparent cable, through which all of the peripheral devices can be connected to the TV.

As of this writing, Samsung hasn't shed any light on this fancy TV's pricing. It is expected to hit the stores in Spring (March, April, and May).
