Xiaomi Sells Record Number Of Redmi Note 4 On The Launch Day
The Chinese company claims that it sold over 250,000 units in only 10 minutes.
Xiaomi is the brand to beat when it comes to affordable smartphones. Last year, the Chinese brand's Redmi Note 3 was the best selling online device in India. Good times continue for the company as its latest budget smartphone, the Redmi Note 4 is off to a great start. The Flipkart exclusive phone has sold around 250,000 units in 10 minutes.

With its latest phone, Xiaomi has broken its personal record of selling most number of devices on day one. Previously, the honour belonged to the Redmi Note 3 and Redmi 3S.
According to the company, the Redmi Note 4 will be up for grab again on January 30. For those not in the know, the phone is priced at Rs 10,000 for 2 GB RAM version. You can opt for a 3 GB variant for Rs 11,000, whereas Rs 13,000 will get you the 4 GB RAM model.

The Redmi note 4 shares a familiar design language with the Redmi Note 3 and a few distinguishing elements being the 5.5-inch Full HD display which is 2.5D curved and the chamfered edges which makes it look a better finished product. The China spec model is powered by a Deca-Core Helio X20 chipset and Xiaomi may perhaps plonk in a Snapdragon SOC for India. The rear facing camera is a 13-megapixel f/2.0 aperture with Phase Detection Autofocus technology and the front is a 5-megapixel selfie spec shooter with wide angle lens. The fingerprint sensor is positioned at the back as its predecessor and it retains the microUSB v2.0 for connectivity.

Other features of the Redmi Note 4 include Dual SIM 4G support, microSD expandable up to 256 GB, dual band Wi-Fi radio, Bluetooth v4.2, IR blaster etc. The handset runs on Android Marshmallow OS v6.0 with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 on the top.
