Mi 6 May Not Be The First Xiaomi Phone To Sport Snapdragon 835 SoC
The new smartphone’s name sounds like an upgraded variant of the Mi Mix.
We have all been waiting for the Mi 6 flagship smartphone by Xiaomi to come with the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. However, it looks like, we may get another smartphone before Mi 6 can actually make it into the market.
A new smartphone by Xiaomi has recently been listed on Geekbench, under the name Xiaomi Mix Evo, claims GizmoChina. The post also adds that, Xiaomi’s VP Li Wanqiang has already given a hint about the new smartphone being launched in March, instead of February.
If you observe the Geekbench listing, you can understand that the smartphone would be featuring an octa core processor clocked at 1.9 GHz and coupled by 4 GB RAM. Well, that’s not it. You can also see that the device is listed with a motherboard model number of MSM8998, which according to GizmoChina, should be Snapdragon 835 chip, and that’s how the rumour lives on.
However, by seeing the name, we are sure it is not related to Mi 6, but does seem like an upgraded version of the Mi Mix device. We may have to wait and watch for more.
