Apple iPhone 8 May Come With IP68 Rating

The rumoured Apple iPhone 8 may be more water and dust resistant than the existing iPhone 7.

 

We have seen some of the wildest and craziest rumours about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8. Well, 2017 in-fact marks ten years for iPhone, and thus, the rumour mill is going more crazier than ever before.

While one rumour speaks about its display, another suggests advanced wireless charging capabilities, and some other rumours hint at a glass body.

One such rumour is about its ruggedness, and dust and water resistance. A report from an investor, according to Gadgets 360 mentions that the iPhone 8 would be sporting an IP 68 rating. This means that there is a significant improvement in the certification than it was found on iPhone 7, which had IP67 rating.

However, it still doesn’t mean that we can use this iPhone under water. If you take it for a swim with you, you are broke for sure. And to make it more waterproof, it is quite obvious that the company would not be bringing back its headphone jack.

Interestingly, the Home Button is also expected to be neglected and removed from the upcoming iPhone.
