CES 2017: LeEco Unveils Smart Bikes Powered By Android

The smart bike comes with 4 inch touchscreen device that helps you with navigation during rides.

 

Smart bikes are turning out to be a trend nowadays, especially with many people experiencing the gamified way of maintaining health. Now, Chinese smartphone company LeEco has introduced new smart bicycles that run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow at the ongoing trade show CES 2017.


It is being said that the company’s bikes run on Bike OS that is powered by Android and also features a 4 inch touchscreen and a quad core Snapdragon 410 processor under the hood.

The touchscreen display actually helps riders to navigate rides and also track their performance. The touchscreen device that comes with the bicycle is said to be backed by a 6,000 mAh battery.

Having said this, let us move towards the build of the actual bicycle. It comes with a Toray T700 carbon fibre frame with SR Suntour XCR Air front fork and 27.5 inch diameter wheel set. Also the bike features a couple of sensors including GPS/GLONASS, compass, accelerometer, barometer, wheel speed and crank speed.

All the electronic stuffs that are included in LeEco’s bikes are said to be water resistant with IP54 certification. However, these bikes will be introduced only in the US for now, and the company expects to soon reach out other markets as well.
