Moto X (2017) May Be A Non-Modular Device

The smartphone’s latest render leaks show the absence of pogo pins which clearly hints at Moto Mods being incompatible with the device.

Do you remember those rumours that we heard recently about LG G6 being a non-modular smartphone? Well, it looks like Lenovo is taking similar steps with future Moto X devices.

A few renders and a 360 degree video of the Moto X 2017 model have been recently leaked out by @OnLeaks, and if you look at those leaked images, you can pretty much see that the smartphone’s design is pretty much similar to the existing Moto X.

However, more prominently than that, you can observe the absence of pogo pins. This clearly hints at Moto Mods being incompatible with the upcoming Moto X.

Along with this, the renders also show us that the 3.5 mm audio jack is still present in the design, which makes perfect sense. But, we can also see Micro USB port instead of USB Type C, and that may be a turn off for many.

Also, it looks like the upcoming Moto X smartphone may come with the large camera bump on the back, as we saw in Moto Z and Moto Z Force. And, the rear camera module is definitely not a dual camera setup, which again shows that the smartphone lacks behind in terms of latest technology.
