Dragon Capsule From SpaceX Successfully Docks With ISS
Becomes the first commercial spacecraft to go into orbit.

NASA's ambitious project of docking SpaceX's Dragon capsule with the ISS bore fruits, as the unmanned spacecraft docked with the International Space Station on Friday, becoming the first commercial space vehicle to be attached to the space station.
Reports confirmed that the capsule attached successfully to the Harmony module of the station at 12:02 p.m. EDT (21:32 IST), as it was "captured by station’s robotic arm and attached to the station".
The cone-shaped Dragon measures 19 feet in length and is 12 feet wide. It has the capacity of carrying over 1,000 pounds of cargo, and will be used mainly for sending items such as food and clothing.
Slated to be docked for around a week to offload over half a ton of cargo, the capsule will then return to earth. It will also bring back space station experiments as well as old equipment, just like the other space shuttles. To check out some interesting pictures from the launch, click here.
