Intex Launches An Android Smartphone Under Rs 5000

Domestic brand Intex is quite popular in the entry-level smartphone segment. To further consolidate its position, the brand has unveiled the Aqua Power M smartphone. As its name suggests, the Power features a 4350 mAh battery, which is said to deliver 25 days on stand by.
 
The Aqua Power M sports a 5-inch HD screen. It is powered by MediaTek's MT6580 chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz. The phone has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage. The storage can be further expanded by 32 GB via a microSD card.

 
The phone has a 5-megapixel main camera with an LED flash. Selfie-aficionados will be disappointed by the paltry 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The dual-SIM phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS.


 
The Intex Aqua Power M is aggressively priced at Rs 4,800. For that though, Intex has cut a lot of corners. Considering that the 2 GB RAM is bare minimum for decent Android experience, most potential buyers are going to be put off by 1 GB RAM.
