Hipster App Instagram Lands On Windows PC And Tablets

Now, you can post your lunch pictures right from your Windows PC.

 

Instagram, a photo and video sharing service has been a rage among the youth. Especially, the cool hipster types can't have a meal without posting its picture on Instagram. It has been downloaded millions of times on platforms such as the iOS and Android. However, all this while it maintained distance from Microsoft's Windows operating system, which is mostly used for serious work. Not any more though, as the photo and video based social networking app has made its way to Microsoft's desktop operating system.

The announcement comes a few months after the Instagram app landed on Windows 10 mobile back in April. The new Windows 10 PC and tablet compatible app supports Live Tiles, which let you see new photos and notifications right from your home screen. The Windows 10 app integrates the newly announced stories feature. Then, there's Instagram Direct that lets you exchange threaded messages with one or more people, and share posts you see in Feed as a message.
