Idea Plans To Launch Digital Services To Compete With Jio
These services are pretty similar to what Reliance Jio has already launched, free exclusively until this year end.
In a recent move to compete with Reliance Jio, Idea has recently announced its plans of starting services like Idea TV, Idea Videos, Idea Chat and others like cloud storage facility, pretty much like the Jio Drive.
According to a recent post by Financial Express, the company has also announced, during an investor presentation that services like Idea Games and Idea Music are also in the radar, and expected by around Jan-March 2017.
Having said this, we know that Airtel has a few quite similar services, already up and running, under the mobile app by name 'Wynk'.

Coming back to Idea's plans to tackle the current market, the company should actually roll out these service pan India, in order to gain the momentum of customers, especially in this heavy competitive world. As of now, Idea has 4G services in just 11 circles and 3G in 13 circles.
However, during the presentation, it seems the company has said that its data network already covers around 400 million Indians, and the plan is to reach 500 million by March 2017.
