Offers a better UI and Flash support for compatible devices.
Firefox is out with a new beta browser for Android handsets. It works with devices running Android 2.1 (Eclair) and above, and promises a faster start-up and page load time. The browser sports a revamped UI, called the Awesome Screen with the start page loading with Top Sites, by default. Currently in the testing stage, it offers Flash support and a lot of plugins. Having said that, Flash doesn’t work with Tegra 2 devices that run on Gingerbread, and the new version doesn't offer support to tablets, so currently, its only for smartphones.
Apart from a new panning/zooming architecture for better touch-based response, it also lets you increase font size to read text better. With this browser, Firefox has also enabled secure Google searches using HTTPS. Moreover, you can also access bookmarks, and browser history with more ease via the Awesome Bar.
