Moto G4 Play Set To Be Launched On September 6
The Moto G4 Play is stated to be a more basic variant of the phone launched earlier this year.
Motorola has finally put out the date for launch of the Moto G4 Play, as September 6. This comes after the launch of the Moto G4 earlier editions in May, which were more advanced versions of what the Play is stated to be, ie more basic in it's functions. The sale will go online exclusively on Amazon starting on launch date, ie September 6. Pricing details have also not been revealed, but is estimated to be in the region of INR 8,999, as compared to to the high specification editions of the G4 and G4 Plus handsets.
According to details on NDTV, the technical specifications could be as follows: Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, water repellent nano-coating, single-SIM smartphone. It features a 5-inch HD 720x1280 pixels display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. Apart from these, there could be the 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, and LED flash but will have additional features such as 'tap anywhere to capture', burst mode, auto HDR, panorama, drag to focus and exposure, and capable of recording full-HD videos at 30 fps. There is also the 5-megapixel front camera with display flash also on board. It bears 16GB of inbuilt storage and also supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB). In terms of connectivity, there could be the 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, and Micro-USB options.
For now, it is also being said that the battery of the phone will be a 2800 mAh battery, which has been claimed to have a full-day life, and can be charged with a 10W charger as well. In India, just the white and black variants might be there to choose from. However, Till September 6, there is nothing but estimates regarding what Moto G4 Play will turn out like.
