Facebook Mobile Makes Images 3x Larger
Design update for News Feed comes to iOS and Android for now, no news about other platforms.
Taking a cue from Instagram, Facebook has decided to increase the size of images appearing on users' news feeds when accessed through a mobile phone. Visible on both smart as well as feature phones, images with now appear three times larger. All posts appearing on News Feeds will "fill your mobile screen from edge to edge".
The new design updates has been made available for the iOS and Android apps, along with the Facebook Mobile site. While it would be easier for users to check out images without actually clicking on them, irrespective of their phones screen size, the announcement post seems to have drawn mixed response from users. Although very few are discussing the new feature, if might help if FB fixes all the bugs in its current app.
