Sony Unveils Dual-Shock 4 USB Adapter And PlayStation Now
PlayStation users can now get titles on demand and 4 USB adapter helps play games on both Windows and Mac PCs.
Sony is here with a decent lot of good news for PlayStation lovers. PlayStation Now, the on-demand game titles services, has now been made available on Windows PCs beginning with the European market, followed by the North American one, before further going to other locations.
The gaming library is known to allow users to play from virtually any location. On the other hand, the Dualshock 4 USB adapter which Sony has introduced will increase hardware capabilities on the PlayStation 4 as the gaming pads will connect without wires, on both Macs as well as Windows PCs.
As per details on Techcrunch, the adapter is set for an early September launch, with a price tag of USD 24.99, and will work with the PlayStation 4 games. It will also be handy while using PS4 Remote Play, which allows playing of the 400-games on the game streaming service on both the Windows and Mac PCs over the local network connection. The major advantage will be the elimination of the need for physically wired gamepads.
The PlayStation Now service is what serious gamers actually need in today's times. The reason is, it allows one to store one's progress of each game online and stream them from any possible location. This saves a great deal in terms of having to avoid loading each title every time one wanted to play it. However, it remains a work in progress currently as many of the PS4 titles are yet to reach the platform but does have a healthy repository of 400 classic gaming titles like God of War and the Uncharted Territory series.
In case PlayStation Now is already on the plans, here are the minimum specifications needed:
Windows 7 (SP1), 8.1 or 10
3.5 GHz Intel Core i3 or 3.8 GHz AMD A10 or faster
300 MB or more; 2 GB or more of RAM
Sound card; USB port
