OYO Expands Hospitality Offerings In Andhra Pradesh
Responding to festive surge pricing, OYO expands hospitality offerings in affordable prices for Andhra’s grand religious event, Krishna Pushkaralu.

OYO India’s largest branded network of hotels is offering pilgrims high-quality hospitality services for Andhra Pradesh’s biggest event, ‘Krishna Pushkaralu’, overcoming problems of lack of affordable accommodation that bedevil travellers during popular religious festivals. OYO has invested more than INR 5 million for ensuring the availability of rooms along with its trusted facilities for millions of devotees arriving from all parts of India.
Beginning 12 August, the event concludes on August 23. Celebrated once in 12 years, the grand event is expected to witness a footfall of more than 35 million devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and other states. A common problem pilgrims face is finding comfortable, affordable and suitable accommodation. Given the sudden surge in demand, hotel tariffs always skyrocket, further aggravating pilgrims’ problems.
Currently, OYO is providing accommodation with specially-launched 12-hour stays in more than 15 hotels across Vijayawada with affordable tariffs beginning from INR 999 only. The company has stated that all hotels are equipped with AC, Wi-Fi, hygienic washrooms, clean linen and complimentary breakfast.
“We have specialized teams in highly-approachable zones like the Railway Station, bus stands and other entry points spread across Vijayawada, ensuring even last-minute travellers find good accommodation options. Travellers with families find it particularly convenient because the best stay experience is available at affordable rates,” commented Nupur Marepalli, Head of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, OYO.
“As India’s largest hotel and religious destination accommodation brand for holy festivals with coverage network from Katra in Jammu to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, we have experience in being the hotel of choice during festivals with massive footfalls running into 20 million. Earlier this year, OYO emerged a big favourite in events such as Simhastha 2016 in Ujjain and the Ardh Kumbh Mela in Haridwar. Coupled with affordable service and easy-stay options, OYO is clearly the first choice for modern pilgrim travellers and we are here in advance to welcome them to Vijayawada during Krishna Pushkaralu,” elaborated Kavikrut, Chief Growth Officer – OYO.
