Deca-Core Competition: Xiaomi Redmi Pro Up Next
The product is to be pitched as the next flagship offering, including the Mediatek Helio X25 SoC with Deca-Core architecture.
Chinese handset maker Xiaomi has revealed plans for releasing yet another flagship product, with the latest group of processors in the market. The new 'Redmi Pro' will sport the Mediatek Helio X25 SoC, which will be of a Deca-Core design, or 10-core structure. Chief Executive Lei Jun has also confirmed to the media, regarding the use of the latest processor. The launch shall be taking place on July 27, in Beijing, China, and the teaser is online, reports Gadgets 360.
In terms of the Redmi Pro handset, not much has been revealed to the media as yet; rumors suggest some features like uni-body metallic design, 3GB/4GB of RAM, and also a finger print scanner at the home button, and OLED display, and the Android 6.0 Marshmellow based OS interface. Some sources say that the phone would have a dual-camera module as well, which itself could carry a price tag of Rs 10,000 (1,000 Yuan/ Approx $150).
It is being speculated that the device could well be the successor to the Redmi Note 3, coming in as the Redmi Note 4, or the Redmi Pro. The final mystery will only be unveiled on July 27 in Beijing, when the device will finally go live for the audience to see, alongside a 'mystery device'. It was estimated that the device could well have been a laptop from Xiaomi, but most sources say, it could be the Xiaomi Mi5S handset, which also boasted of a probable 3D-Touch screen, something found on Apple's flagship.
