Lenskart And Ola Partner To Get Free-Eye Check Up For Driver-Partners
10,000+ Ola drivers are set to benefit from the eye-checkup camps, which is ultimately aimed at better road safety, and driver welfare.
With road safety being a major concern in the Delhi-NCR region, Lenskart and Ola have formed a unique partnership which is expected to see more than 10,000+ drivers of Ola cabs avail free eye-checkup consultancy at various camps organized for them. The online eyewear retailer and the personal transport service provider joined hands for the cause of driver welfare and road safety, also ensuring that drivers get vision check cards after their examination at the camps.
To ensure that the initiative is something that proves effective for the drivers involved, there will be low cost options for spectacles which the drivers could pick from, if they need to get their vision corrected. The 'driver-partners' will also get special discounts on the entire range that Lenskart has to offer for buyers.
“Operating with the idea to promote right eye vision and power for everyone, Lenskart is glad to move a step ahead and collaborate with Ola. With our increasing dependency on cabs for safe and easy commute, it is imperative that cab drivers have spot on vision. With this, we aim to bring special emphasis on road safety and hope to have a successful association with Ola,” said Peyush Bansal, the CEO and Founder of Lenskart, while elaborating about the importance of this new initiative.
“Our association with Lenskart will enable free eye check-ups and spectacles at special discounted rates for our driver partners. Initiatives like these fall in line with our endeavour to create a robust ecosystem for our driver partners to grow holistically while they drive Ola’s mission of building mobility for a billion Indians,” commented Deep Singh, the North-India business head of Ola, while talking about the partnership.
The Lenskart-Ola initiative went underway on the 4th of July, which saw 3,000 driver-partners registering and benefiting from the services of the eye checkup camp. The camps will go on till the 16th of July at various Ola offices.
