9 Year Old PIO, The Youngest Developer At WWDC

Anvitha Vijay from Australia is the youngest app developer at this year’s edition of WWDC.

How often do you come across a nine year old who would say  "Coding was so challenging. But I'm so glad I stuck with it” ? Well, Anvitha Vijay from Australia is passionate about apps and has already built several apps for iPhone and iPad, a report in Fortune said.

Anvitha is a self taught developer who watched YouTube videos and learned how to program.Anvitha has developed apps for children and is excited about the prospect of meeting Tim Cook as part of Apple’s scholarship program. She built her first app, GoalsHi, during the summer vacations and won a $10,000 student prize at the OzApp awards in Australia in 2015.Her interactive Smartkins Animals app inspired by her little sister, helps kids identify over 100 animal names and sounds, while Smartkins Rainbow Colours is designed to help young kids learn about colours.

"Turning an idea for an app involves a lot of hard work," Vijay said. "There are so many components to building an app, including prototyping, design and wirreframing, user interface design and then coding and testing." According to a Fortune report, this year out of 350 recipients,120 are students under the age of 18.
