At Microsoft's BUILD conference, Nokia announced the successor of the Lumia 920. Similar to its predecessor, the 930 comes in multiple colours. However, this time around, Nokia has moved away its Fabula design language. The Finns had introduced their hallmark polycarbonate unibody construction with the ill-fated N9 (Meego powered). Much like the lesser-known Verizon’s Lumia Icon, Nokia's latest entrant boasts of aluminium construction. In fact, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the 930 is a recycled Lumia Icon with a dash of colours.
It seems that Nokia is planning to attract the iPhone crowd by introducing metal-clad devices. To find out whether the Lumia 930 feels as premium as Apple’s iPhone, we will have to wait for a few months. Till then, check out these high res product shots.
