14th Oct 2015While Flipkart’s Big Billion Day mobile phone sale takes place tomorrow, Amazon today has plenty on offer for its Great Indian Festive Sale. And for the casual shopper, it is an unbelievable amount of discounts that one can take in at one go.
And the discounts appear to be everywhere from clothing to electronics to appliances and everything in between. Coming to mobile phones, again everything up on Amazon’s virtual store shelves comes with a discounted price tag but that is not really the case.
As for the discounts themselves, there is plenty of talk about how investor monies have been keeping the prices so low, that even company offers (ones that come from the brands themselves) or internal company offers (for employees and businesses) do not match up to them. While investor money allows shopping portals to brings down prices to unbelievable lows, they do at the end of it all, benefit the customer. And for now, getting more customers to your website is what counts.
So we actually went browsing through Amazon and found out a few good deals, from an online store shelf that literally had discounts and price cuts everywhere. And below are the best deals on mobile phones that we could find.
Apple iPhone 6 (16 GB): Rs 37,999
Apple’s iPhone 6 has come a long way when it comes to pricing. It is still quite a capable smartphone even a year later, but the oncoming threat of Apple new iPhone 6s range is bringing down prices like no other iPhone before. Amazon is currently selling its 16 GB iPhone 6 model (only in the Gold option) for a new low price of Rs 37,999, down from its previous price tag of Rs 47,500, that other retailers are still selling it for.
Mi 4i (16 GB): Rs 9999
Now that Xiaomi is not longer Flipkart exclusive, Amazon retailers seem to be taking advantage of the same. It’s super low Rs 9999 price tag makes the Xiaomi Mi 4i a great gifting option for the festive season. The hardware packs in enough power to beat most mid-range offerings from international brands and with such a price, it makes for a pretty sweet deal. The Mi 4i is on sale with its new price tag with all colour options (White, Blue, Pink and Yellow).
Microsoft Lumia 640: Rs 7999
Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 offering has been on the market for quite some time now. While many are interested in the Lumia 640's bigger brother (Lumia 640 XL) that packs in better specs, at Rs 13,869, it’s new low offer price is now a lot more sensible at Rs 7999 down from a Sub Rs 10,000 bracket. Amazon is literally offering a budget smartphone at almost entry-level prices. As of now, only the Black (8 GB) option up for sale.
Motorola Moto E 2nd gen (3G): Rs 4,999
Bringing the price of the Motorola Moto E 2nd gen down to Rs 4,999 (down from Rs 5,999) literally puts it in line with entry-level 4G offerings from Yu, like the Yunique. And while it does not pack 4G bands, the Snapdragon 410 chipset and the 720p display (you have the 4G version for that) you do get a capable branded Motorola smartphone for placing calls and running basic apps.
