Though the earphone resembles X55, the high fidelity dynamic driver unit makes X88 a better choice for crisp vocals!

Evidson X88: 'Crisp Vocals' Is Now The Rule

Evidson recently launched its new noise isolating earphones dubbed the Sound Supreme X88. As per the company's claims, the X88 reproduces high fidelity dynamic range audio and crisp, natural vocals. It is compatible with almost all multimedia devices that come with a 3.5 mm audio port including mobiles, tablets, and laptops.

The package, design and form factor of X88 resemble X55 earphones by Evidson that we unboxed and reviewed a few weeks ago.

Evidson X88 comes at a price tag of Rs 599, which is again, in the same price range of X55. However, X88 comes with a dynamic driver system which is responsible for the reproduction of crisp audio. According to Evidson, the X88 earphone targets the budget conscious audio listeners while giving them a classy, retro design. No wonder, it has been included in the Audiophile series.

Speaking about the earphones, the cable is pretty lengthy.. say around 1.5 meters or so... and it's of high quality.

The earphones come with a 1 year warranty and you can purchase them on Flipkart and Amazon. Technically speaking, the earphones come with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 Khz, 115 dB of sensitivity, and impedance of 32 Ω. The earphone comes with a gold-plated 3.5 mm audio jack. However, the microphone seems to be missing here, which means the earphone can be used only for audio listening purposes... and you cannot answer a phone.

According to me, both X88 and X55 reproduce audio with almost similar quality. It's only when you deeply observe, you can actually find a subtle difference, especially in the vocal range.

Evidson X88 tends to be a little more clear on the vocal part. But, seriously... that's negligible I guess because both earphones are good. It's all upto you... whether you want crisp vocals or a microphone to answer phone calls.

Coming back to the X88, this is definitely a basic audiophile earphone, preferably for those who are budget conscious. While X88 does not come with a microphone unlike its near relative x55, it sports a more efficient driver unit, that makes vocals a little more crisp.

And.. as I told.. it's all upto you.. whether you want a microphone or crisp vocals! Do let us know in the comments below. And.. as far as rating is concerned… I would give this earphone a 4 out of 5. Evidson has done a good job!
