14th Jun 2016During the ongoing Apple Worldwide Developer's Conference, the company has announced a new app which teaches kids, how to code.
Christened as Swift Playgrounds, the app with an interface similar to Codecademy is currently said to be available for iPad. However, the playful appearance clearly shows that its total concentration is the future generation.
The app is said to teach kids basic coding lessons, in a new coding language called 'Swift' which was introduced by the Cupertino based company two years ago. With this move again, Apple is pretty much concentrating on fine tuning its very own software ecosystem.
According to The Verge, the app is capable of teaching basic programming concepts like loops and conditionals by using an animated character. This pretty much makes the learning process enjoyable for the kids, and at the same time, inscribe the programming concepts into the young minds!
This is certainly a brilliant move by Apple to introduce young and new programmers into the ever evolving industry.
