You also get access to a statistical menu, and the ability to save and export that log data.

There are very few apps on the Windows Phone App Store to begin with, but this one takes the cake and even allows for adjustments in case your smartphone is unable to go beyond a particular level due to hardware limitations.

First off, the app comes pre-calibrated for 36 Apple devices. Then there are the visual guides and interaction designs that let you know ‘how loud is too loud’ and what can it be compared to. More importantly, the app also lets you click a picture of the subject that you are recording. Sound levels can be logged and mailed through email. All-in-all, its a feature packed app.

That also means that it delivers all the necessary options for those who have the need for it, and will expect the same at such a price. SoundMeter is available both in free and paid versions. And while the free version has the standard features and some more, the expensive paid version gives you everything under the sun and lets you go deep into the details of your saved data (which unlike the other apps can be saved in a variety of formats). Apple Watch support is also available for both the free and the paid versions of the app.
